AUT (American University of Technology, Lebanon), 1′, 2019, english
Dutch documentary maker and winner of multiple awards Rob Rombout spent 5 days with AUT Audio-Visual Arts students and got them to produce a short documentary under the theme So Close So Far. The theme encouraged students tot think of someone close to them but very different from them and write and shoot a 5 minute film that illustrates the theme.
Students spent an average 10 hours a day to complete the task and showed their films to high school students and to the Audio Visual staff on Friday February 22 during the Masterclass given by Rombout to high school students who expressed an interest to study film making. Students from schools as far as ND de Jamhour spent Friday afternoon with Rombout and AUT alumni and students to learn what it takes to become a film maker.
This is the fourth visit of Rob Rombout to AUT and the fourth workshop with AUT students. He will be back for the AUT Summer Camp in July 2019.
